Backing Up The Bus

Has it been 4 months already?!

All the chaos of January seems like years ago – the mad scramble to get the house ready and move in hardly seems real at this point.  While there is still so much to do with the house and yard, it feels familiar – and like ours.  The urgency of “fixing” stuff is dropping off as we get comfortable with what the house is – which is really nice.

I wanted to share a few of the little things we’ve done while i was neglecting my blog – starting with the cabinet knobs in the kitchen.

When we lived in San Francisco, I had a page from a magazine that I had torn out and taped inside one of my kitchen cabinets.  It was a photo of Winona Ryders cute sunny retro kitchen – with white cabinets and jadite green accents, touches of red ceramic and stainless steel.  Every time I opened the cabinet I got to look at the picture and dream that one day I’d be able to do that with my own kitchen….well,i’m getting closer…..

Here are some shots of the replica jadite knobs that we ordered from a store in upstate NY.
